Scholars discuss Chinese culture and Asian values at BFSU

Beijing Foreign Studies University hosted an international academic seminar on Chinese culture and Asian values on October 18 and 19. Over 40 domestic and foreign scholars attended the meeting. The opening ceremony was chaired by Vice President PengLong and the participants included President Han Zhen, Sri Lanka’s Minister Bandula Gunawardena of Education, Dean Kam Louie of Faculty of Arts at the University of Hong Kong, and Director Yan Shaodang of the Institute for Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies at Peking University.
The organizer received thirty papers and the speakers discussed Chinese culture and Asian values, Chinese studies and Chinese culture, Sinology in Asia and Europe in seven panels during two-day event.
